Reflection of the history of development of the transport system of the Northern European Russia

in the regional statistical compendiums of the 1960s

Abstract. The development of the regions transport system of the European North of Russia was reflected in the published statistical compendiums. By this massive source of widely used by researchers as the history of the region as a whole, and the regions and republics of the Northern European region in particular. Currently, however, is still poorly examined the question of the information capacity of these compendiums on different subjects of life of the population of the region, including the history of the development of transport. The article deals with the question of the completeness of the published data on the status and development of transport in regions and republics of the European North of Russia. Due to the large volume of material to be analyzed, we consider in the provided article only statistical compendiums of the 1960s.
