Reflection of the history of development of the transport system of the Northern European Russia

in the regional statistical compendiums of the 1980s

Abstract. The development of transport system of the European North of Russia was reflected in the published regional statistical compilations. However, until now there was almost no attempt to consider the question of the information capacity of these collections on the history of transport development. This article is part of our extensive analytical work to assess the information capacity of the regional statistical compilations published in the 1950s - 1980s, on the issue of transport development in the European North of Russia. Due to the large volume of material we shared a long article into four parts. There is only one of our published work, which is considered as well represented in the regional statistical compilations of the Soviet period data on the history of transport development in the European North of Russia in 1960. This article considers the a question of the completeness of the data published by the statistics on the status and development of transport in the regions and republics of the Russian European North in the 1980s.
