Abstract. The article is devoted to creativity and way of life of the Nenets poet and novelist Yuri Vella (Ayvaseda). We consider the genesis and mythopoetics of his works, their semantic and discourse. The article defines the specifics of worldview attitudes and life experiences of the author. The driving idea - to find ways of preservation and development of languages, literatures, material and spiritual traditions of the peoples of the North.
