Society did not choose them (on the informal public ministry

in the Northern community of the 18th century)

Abstract. This article discusses the informal form barely Public Ministry in the northern village of XVIII century. Shows how these forms of service significantly expanded features and functionality of the community self-management. In the conditions of the state (chernososhnaya) village, certain types of private activity acquired a social character, which undoubtedly increased the contribution of the peasantry to the material and spiritual culture of the region.
