About compiling the Chukchi-French-English-Russian dictionary

Abstract. The article presents the publication of the Chukchi-French-English-Russian dictionary. For the first time in the dictionary introduced vocabulary, reflecting information about the culture of the Chukchi society and not included in the dictionaries of recent years. The dictionary contains a large number of new words of reindeer-breeding specialized terminology, a dictionary of maritime traditional and modern vocabulary.

2Vensten-Tagrina Zoia Vladimirovna, Candidate of Cultural Studies, researcher in traditonal musical culture of the Chuchi people, author of scientific papers on the practice of Chukchi song, performer of folklore songs. Since 2000th year Vensten-Tagrina Zoya elaborated with her husband Charles Weinstein a handbook of Chukchi and a lexicon of the Chukchi language.
