Mass sources on the history of trade and ways of communication

in the European North of Russia in the 19th century

Abstract. The article analyzes a complex of mass published and archival sources on the history of trade and ways of communication in the European North of Russia. The characteristics of such published sources as the Complete collection of laws of the Russian Empire, the Code of laws of the Russian Empire, the Military Statistical survey of the Russian Empire, «Arkhangel'skiye gubernskiye vedomosti», «Vologodskiye gubernskiye vedomosti», «pamyatnyye knizhki» of the Arkhangelsk and Vologda provinces are given. Using the example of the fair trade sphere, an algorithm for searching documents on this issue in the regional and central archives is considered.
